In Azeroth heroes come in many shapes and sizes, in fact it's a big part of the game, making the player feel like they are a hero. One of the developement goals story wise with World of Warcraft has been stated to be reminding players that everyone has a hero inside of them. In the real world though there is no Spirit Healer to give you a rez, and true heroes go out every day willing to give up their lives to protect what they have back home.
While many heroes are able to, not all heroes make it home. I work at a extremely patriotic coffee house that is a memorial for one such hero who gave his all for his country, and today another young man is being remembered by this small Texas town as one of their own who gave his all for what he believed in. Fallen, but not forgotten.
There are many ways to keep our heroes in our thoughts, one simple way is wearing a red shirt on Fridays. Red Shirt Friday is basically a weekly Memorial Day, where people can show their support for the troops by wearing a red shirt. "They bleed red so we wear red". In fact, the place I work gives a discount to people showing support for the troops. Of course, this means that since the Horde in WoW wear red all the time they are WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more patriotic than the Alliance. ;D
As the small TX town I call home stops to pay respects to it's own hero, take some time to think about your own hometown heroes, both the ones who made it home, and the ones who didn't. And remember to wear red on Friday to show your support.

Today was just one of those days where I just felt restless. I felt somewhat bored but didn't feel like playing WoW, didn't feel like watching a movie, and even my 3DS couldn't help me. I needed to go do something, but I didn't want to go do something that would be work. So I grabbed my camera, grabbed my 3DS, and went for a walk. Where to you may ask? Why nowhere and everywhere! Wherever my feet decided to take me. My camera decided to be stupid so my 3DS became the camera for this trip, and boy did that work out perfect! In the end I wound up at the only lake in the area, and the wildlife there decided that it was alright to let me get some 3D pictures of them. You can check them out in my Photo Gallery. I highlighted some of my favorites below. I also put together a zip file with all the pictures prepared for viewing on you own 3DS, you can download it Here.

It's been a while and I've been putting this off. I think it's more I was afraid to do this cause life kept moving and thus this was going to be bigger with everything going on, so I'll try to summarize. Maybe once this big thing is out of the way I'll feel better doing regular stuff haha.
To start things off I'm not in AZ anymore, I just couldn't find work. I'll say that was probably the most disheartening thing I have ever gone through. Thankfully though, it's over since this past January I started at a local coffee house back in Andrews TX called CPL Ray's. The job is going well and I'm really enjoying it. It's also helping me get closer to my dream of one day owning and running my own coffee house. It's a great chance to see just what goes into the daily operation of a place like this and when the time comes I know what I'm learning here will come in handy, not to mention the fact that I have a paying job again.
I do have to say though, I miss AZ. I miss my friends I made in Tucson, and I miss just how beautiful Tempe is. Andrews TX isn't horrible... but it's flat and dry, no trees, no mountains or even hills to climb, and nothing entertainment wise. For anything even remotely like those things you need to go out of town, waaaaay out of town. Needless to say this is NOT where I want to stay. But it is home for now, and my sister and brother-in-law are making it a bit more enjoyable. In fact we are went to Buffalo Wild Wings the other day just like I used to every week with my AZ friends.
That's about it for the Life, Universe, and Everything part... now for the 3D! I am a gamer, you could have probably guessed from the WoW stuff floating around the site. And as such I have to make mention of the the grandfather of great games, Nintendo. By this I mean because of Nintendo's work to push gaming farther other companies, younger in the gaming industry, have been inspired to also try to push gaming forward. Yes, I call Sony and Microsoft children of Nintendo when it comes to gaming right beside Hal, Natsume, Sega, etc. At one time or another over the years both Sony and Microsoft have had games on Nintendo systems. I'm not going to say I think Nintendo is best in everything, they simply pushed conventional gaming boundaries and encouraged others to do the same in order to try and find new ways to have fun. Where Nintendo shines the strongest though is in it's handhelds. Nintendo has always dominated there, and that brings us to what I want to talk about, the Nintendo 3DS.
Nintendo's newest game geek toy, and it's AMAZING! The system is able to send a different image to each eye, the same as your eyes do with objects in the real world. Your brain combines the two images and perceives 3D. 3D glasses over the years have done the same, red/blue cutting out specific colors to make sure each eye sees different, the newer high tech 3D glasses making sure only one of the two images is seen without the colored lenses, etc, but Nintendo has found a way to do this with out using any glasses! I'll cut back on the technical talk a bit, but I will say it works, and it works well.
Not content to just add 3D to games, Nintendo also included two cameras on the outside of the system that 3DS owners could use to take 3D pictures. That picture above is one I took using one of the Augmented Reality cards included with the system. And that's something else I should mention, the 3DS includes 3 built in games (some with a few sub games too) so you can enjoy the system right out of the box even if you can't get any of the retail games at the time. Expect to see more 3D pictures popping up in the future from me.
So all in all life is alright, not too much suck and about even awesome. Thank you for taking the time to read up on me and my thoughts right now, and now it's time to see what I can do to make this site a little better.

I want to share with you all a story. Once upon a time there was a WoW noob who was known as Donaldserrot the Human Warrior. I'm pretty sure the only thing he did right was Brewfest. But he had fun, at least up until he either grouped up with other players (who made fun of his gear) or he went to Outlands (where the mobs showed him how bad his gear was). It was at this time Donald reached the end, there wasn't much more he could do as he was and he didn't have the desire to fix things so he retired. At that time a new WoW nublet showed up. Donhorn was different, and decided to try to learn more about not just his Druidic class, but also his Tauren history. He knew of the trials Donaldserrot went through and knew that in order to go the distance he'd need to train.
This is just a brief history of my own mindset playing this game for the past two years, and shows something about what I wanted from this game, to go as far as I could. I always figured I'd never be a raider, I'd just quest till 80 then do whatever till the next expac came out. And I figured I'd never even see the Lich King, at least until the next expac and level boost made him soloable. Like Rocky I didn't see my own potential, I didn't know I could go that distance. Now my guild and I are sitting in his throne room staring him in the face, like Apollo and Rocky before their epic battle, and only one thing is going through my mind, "you have to go the distance with this bum, you have to."
What was your mindset when you started playing? Did you think you would go the distance? Everyone has a different distance they strive for, what's yours? (Yes, I have been watching allot of Rocky movies lately... what of it?)

Hey there everyone, I'm still setting things up here so it's still a little messy. But it's my hope to organize everything here. All my videos, pictures, and various other projects under one roof. Take a look around, I already have some videos and pictures up, and constantly adding more content to other pages as I go along.:D
